My name is Kelly, and I am the maker, designer, photographer, etc at Moon Lab Jewelry. I am a work at home mom to a vibrant, hilarious three year old girl, my Sweet Baby H. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to run my own business from home as I watch my little girl grow. :)

I think I've always been a designer waiting for my medium to find me. In the fall of 2012, I moved across the country and unexpectedly became very crafty. I tried my hand at sewing, refinishing furniture, knitting, and then finally....making jewelry.

A friend had taught me basic wire wrapping techniques a few years back, but I guess I wasn't ready....after a week of excitedly and sloppily wrapping beads, I put all my tools away. When I picked them back up in the summer of 2013, everything fell into place!

My inspiration mostly comes from interesting color combinations. And beautiful beads! I love unique shapes and colors; I try to do something at least a little creatively different with each of my pieces in order to make them original and special. I favor clean lines and delicate components - teeny, tiny beads are my passion. However delicate, though, my pieces are never overly sweet.

My pieces are made one at a time, with unwavering attention to detail. Quality of construction and materials are of utmost importance. I love the balance of creativity and meticulousness I find when designing with my beloved teeny tiny beads. :)
